Hamaki-Ho Jackets

The sports coat and the blazer can be a misunderstood area of men’s fashion, and the Spring Summer 2014 jackets from Hamaki-Ho, fall in between the two.  Sports coats or sports jackets are traditionally, despite being similar in style to a suit jacket, made from a fabric other than the wool usually used for a formal suit.  Often this can be tweed, corduroy or suede and thus lends itself to more casual occasions.  The blazer is one step up in formality from the sports coat, but still more casual than a suit jacket, usually with metallic buttons in brass or gold.

All three of this season’s Hamaki-Ho jackets are designed to be work with casual trousers like jeans or chinos.  Each of the jackets has been made from fabrics that compliment the textured finish of denim to create a flow to an outfit.  They have a construction which is lightweight, having only shoulder lining, and shades that look great in the sun.  Being an Italian label like Armani, Hamaki-Ho are cut slim fit and it’s probably worth trying a size larger than you would normally take.
