German fashion label Hugo Boss was first created in 1924 in the city of Metzingen by Hugo Boss himself. The company originally sprang to prominence and fruition during the 1930’s as it became an official supplier of the German military for its uniform.

Hugo himself dies shortly after the war, but his brand survived with the new owners steering the brands products into a more fashion led direction. The 1970’s saw the launch of Hugo Boss Black which was originally aimed at men before launching a women’s collection at the turn of the 21st century. Other ranges produced by the fashion house include Hugo Boss Orange and Hugo Boss Green, with the company in particular famous for its range of Hugo Boss shirts.
